Why wait? Just piss on him.

The wrong Capri Sun and the right hooker will cost you plenty.

Hinch has managed his ass off this year.

I have missed Hinch ever since he left. IMHO the best manager this team has ever had.

Well, O’s bullpen just self-destructed in the 6th and turned a tight 1-0 game into a 7-0 Yankee lead. Bummer.

I was trying to watch that game but after 3 innings I got my fill of the pompously pedantic play by play guy, I changed channels

Yeah, I had it on mute. Who was Costas broadcasting for? MLB network?

I reckon so.

Mariners eliminated? Oh, I am so sorry. Nope.

Twins lose, they are now one game away from elimination

Did you see the final out? Twins are down two with nobody on and they need a baserunner. Guy hits a bouncer back to the mound and starts running it out with maybe 3/4 effort. Of course, the pitcher makes a terrible throw, and the first baseman has to leave the bag and jump to prevent the throw from going to the fence. Batter says “oh shit!” and starts running hard, which gets him to the bag a few milliseconds after the first baseman recovers. Game over. Classic teaching moment. (And this was after other hitting and running blunders in extra innings.)

Twins’ elimination number is now one: they have to win out, and either KC or DET has to lose all three in order for the Twins to make it.

The guy you’re talking about was Correa (who had a great game otherwise).

Minny’s extra inning offense was very Astro-esque. Had the bases loaded with 1 out in the 10th and no outs in the 11th and managed to score 1 run.

Oh, wow, I didn’t even realize that.

The coup de grace was getting the Manfred man doubled off on the popped-up sac bunt. That’s not entirely on him, but he was 3/4 of the way to third when the first baseman caught the ball, so he clearly wasn’t watching to make sure the ball was down.

One of the things I appreciate about Pena is his hustle on the bases. I can’t assume he would have run a ball back to the pitcher out but I suspect he would have put more effort than Correa did.

I would think that’s a credit to his father. Pena has often said how much he learned from him about what it took to play in MLB.

From OptaStats:

"The Marlins are the first team in MLB history to strike out 20+ times, leave 15+ runners on base, blow a 4+ run lead, commit multiple errors and fail to hit a home run in a game.

They still ended up beating the Twins, 8-6."

I was thinking about this the other day, the old Trout / Ohtani tandem that would perform feats previously unseen on the baseball diamond and the Angels fall to the Royals 7-5.

There’s a tweet for that:

Yeah, that’s good, I saw that the other day. And I’m glad she included the Mariners because it would be hard to imagine a better group of young players.

It just goes to show how important solid role players and pitching depth are. You can go Steve Cohen and sign everyone you can find and your team is still going to suck unless you have those two things.

KC is supposed to be playing at Atlanta tonight. That can’t possibly happen, can it?
