It’s happening
I remember when Geronimo Peña came up with the Cardinals. He was, much like his son, a physical specimen, though a bit leaner. There was hope he’d replace Jose Oquendo as their everyday second baseman. Instead Herzog preferred to platoon him with Oquendo even though both were switch hitters .
That song always hits hard in so many ways
I loved the Mariners reference. It was the chef’s kiss on an already great tweet.
To your point, I think if the Astros don’t have Marwin Gonzalez, 2017 could’ve been a far different outcome.
Interesting. I really only remember G. Pena later in his career when he carved out a role as a fairly useful utility player.
That whole move is an utter disgrace and slap in the face to the fans of Oakland.
But hey, dollah billz.
It’s been a long time coming, and of course Bud Selig set it all in motion:
Of course that scumbag selig had a hand in it- he’s a piece of shit.
That tweet is a fantastic read.
My first 2 yrs at SWA were based in Oakland. I caught a few Astros-A’s games at The Coliseum and that proposed Howard Terminal site had so many locals excited. Then, of course, they got shit on.
Fucking abject greed.
The A’s fans and Oakland deserved better.
That was exciting for the 20 or so games Trout was actually playing.
Oh fuck, I’m stealing this
I already sent it to my Mariners fan friend in Panama.
An absolute shitstain on the game of baseball
The meaningful games are tight so far tonight
Detroit is in the process of ending the ChiSox attempt to not lose 121 games. Sox had won 3 in a row to stave it off for a bit
No team had ever lost to a team with 120 losses, and then the Angels did it 3 days in a row
I did not know this
Tigers punch their ticket, the Angels now stand alone as the longest drought in baseball
