 Nah, actually had to read it.

Mets fired Showalter. Heck of an end to their big year.

As much shit as Dusty has invited on himself during his time here, remember that Showalter interviewed for the Astros job.

/shudder/

I forgot all about that. I can’t imagine he’d be Brown’s kind of guy.

ETA: Chandler Rome reminds on twitter that Espada was a finalist for the Mets job before it went to Showalter.

If the Astros want to keep Espada, they need to have a conversation with Baker.

I just wanted to slip in one more “Fuck the goddamn Mets” before the season ended … for them.

Showalter would’ve made the season excruciating if he had been the Astros manager. Almost unbearable.

Unlike Dusty?

Which one is still going?

Not even the same ballpark.

Buck squeezes the life out of anything resembling fun.

The team would’ve been tightly wound, miserable, and below 500.

To put it another way, there are many managers who could’ve guided the Astros to 2 pennants in the past 3 seasons.

Buck Showalter ain’t one of them.

I have my misgivings about Dusty, but shit hot, I’m ever grateful we didn’t get showalter.

Buck Showalter makes Terry Collins nervous

Just remember, second place is the first loser.

No, I do not think so.

Tongue in cheek. It was a saying Terry Collins had posted in the Astros’ clubhouse while he was manager.
