Bad news for Forrest?

Or maybe he needed rest before a call-up. /optimism

McTaggart has a little more:

Astros say Forrest Whitley left last night’s game in Sugar Land after feeling some discomfort in his right shoulder. His velocity was normal (93-96 mph), but he was removed from the game as a precaution. He is currently being evaluated.

He needs to be a whole lot tougher than he is. I hope the diagnosis is a positive one.

A little positive hope is all I have left for Whitley. I quit having expectations a few years ago.

There’s time to fix it, but he’s getting close to right up there with the most disappointing Astros ever.

Tim Redding, come on down

I wasn’t making a list just yet, but he’s on it.

Eric Anthony? Andujar Cedeno?

A bunch of catchers, Rodeo Clown, Meluskey, Taubensee… Some guys sadly had injuries that were the cause of major disappointments, like Carlos Hernandez.

I’m disappointed Servais was ever an Astro.

Does that count?

How about JR Richard?

Luke Scott?

Does Whitley even count as an Astro to be disappointed by?

And now he manages the halos, so even more disappointing.

It just occured to me:

Angels managed by ex-Astro
Mariners managed by ex-Astro
Rangers managed by ex-Astro

A’s managed by guy rejected by Astros in 2020 managerial search.

( its the best I could come up with for Kotsay)

And I hope the Astros stomp all their collective asses.

Don’t forget Tigers managed by ex-Astros manager

No, you can’t blame injuries. Same with Carlos Hernandez.
