That’s great. (Highly simplified) numerical weather prediction and reanalysis condensed down to the small scale of a ballpark. I am guessing they are using much of the fluid dynamics modeling from the NWS Global Forecast System (GFS) since it’s open-source available to anyone that wants the code. Your tax $$ at work, ladies and gents!
