Battled/ fouled off several.

Bet heā€™ll be chewing on 1 or 2 of those in his head tonight.

Isnā€™t it nicer in the GZ with a lead and to be talking baseball trivia and bbq sauce?

Six outs to get.

He hit a bunch of balls really hard. Looked like the Bregman weā€™re used to seeing. Positive sign.

Man, Gallo hits some Major League pop ups.

Odor probably never struck out before, judging by his reaction.

My heart breaks for him.

Josh didnā€™t want to be left out.

Preston hit 29 in Korea this year

Garneau with the Golden Sombrero tonight.

Would like to see Bielak with a strong inning here.

B9:

Mathis with a 2-out double, raises his average to a cool .155

Ballgame. Astros win 12-4

I was thrilled when I saw the bottle with Mr. Stubblefieldā€™s image on it in my local CA grocery. Stubbā€™s BBQ was the best in Lubbock when I was at Texas Tech. That was before the fast-talkinā€™ fellas from Austin talked him into moving there, and eventually taking over the brand.

His place in Lubbock was small and in a then rather dodgy neighborhood, but had great bluesmen go through like Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker and great BBQ. There was a sign above the stage that read: ā€œTHERE WILL BE NO LOUD TALK OR BAD TALK IN THIS PLACEā€. As Mr. Stubblefield was at least 6ā€™ 4" tall and usually wielded at least one large meat cleaver the rule, to my knowledge, was never broken.

ETA: The original Stubbā€™s BBQ building has been demolished, but there is a statue of Mr. Stubblefield holding a brisket on the site.:Story on Statue
