How long ago was that? Weâve had Stubbs here in Northern California for at least ten years or so when I moved from Austin.

That was some time ago, more than ten years.
His nickname was âStubbâ, but I never heard anyone other than Muddy himself call him anything other than âMr. Stubblefieldâ. He was very respected, even among the redneckaratti of Lubbock.
