Astros @ damnyankees, May 8, 2024

This team is just sad.

Astros get first and second with nobody out in the fifth, Meters, Altuve, and Tucker proceed to do dick squat.

Still 5-1 if anyone can bring themselves to care.

I do wonder what’s going through Crane’s mind. We can bitch and moan and propose all sorts of nonsensical remedies, but he has to make actual decisions and put them in motion.

Point of order: all of my proposed remedies make perfect sense.

Arithmetic at least went 5. Dubon in and something has made it 8-1. What was it? Who knows. All is darkness. Eat at Arby’s.

Everytime I think they’ve rock bottom somebody on this team pulls out a shovel

Or a jackhammer.

This team is likely going to be end up the worst in franchise history. They have not begun to hit bottom.

And he’s there.

How low can he go?

Let’s find out.

Once Tucker and Peña start slumping we’re going to see some real ugliness.

Ever since The Troubles, I mark the 63rd win among the season’s milestones. I’ve long marked the 82nd win and whatever I think will get to Postseason if the Astros got over .500. I haven’t really thought a 100 loss season was a realistic possibility for a long time up until now.

I cannot possibly fathom this team getting 63 wins.

After tonight they will have 12 wins, and 9 losses by at least 5 runs.

The other day I set the controls for .150.

There’s only so much done i can deal with

Brightspot with a solo homer.

Ooooh, they’ve cut it to 5, the tension mounts!

I may increase my number of players actually worth watching from 3 to 4.

Threeve
