Astros at Cubs, 4//25/24

Look on the bright side: Bregman may have nuked his value, but I’m sure Tucker will still get us some good prospects in July.

No way Bregman gets traded. They won’t get offered more than the compensatory pick is worth.

I know we are all down on Bregman, but his value is still pretty good around baseball.

I’d be willing go bet that Chas and maybe Meyers won’t be Astros after July. And if Montero pitches well, you might even be able to find someone to eat his contract. But I doubt any of those would bring back any interesting prospects.

Awfully optimistic to think Bregman will be worth offering a $20M QO.

Have to wonder about Verlander as well if they are still playing horrible and out of contention around the trade deadline. I am sure he would prefer to compete for a title somewhere.

Given that there’s no way a Boras client accepts it?

I’m trying to decide whether it’s the BFT or my phone/network that is misbehaving. Is anybody else seeing performance problems?

Atlanta could use a starter. They don’t have much of a farm system, but maybe Brown can ID some hidden gems from his days there.

If Bregman hits .210 and gets a $20MM offer, Boras would be abrogating his fiduciary duty if he didn’t tell him to take it.

Every time I look at the TV.

Wouldn’t be the first time for Boras to do that.

Yet 2000 was the impetus for the “this is a traveling horseshit show too” quote from Bagwell.

I was wondering when that line would be resurrected.

Espada decided to leave early.

The site has been terrible for me since whenever the latest update happened. It’s extremely slow to load, I often have to refresh the page several times in order to get it to catch, etc.

I have no issues on either PC or Samsung phone, in case @Waldo is wondering.

None here on my MacBook or iPhone either.
