Quantum entanglement writ large.
Yo! Fine here. No power at home but reports from my next door neighbor say the house is structurally fine. Now to get homeā¦
Great to hear!
Traditionally, nothing bad happens to domed arenas during hurricanes, right?
Guess itās time to host some Rays home games in Houston.
I got a text from my sister a little while ago. She and hers are fine, just no power. Floodwaters got to within a few feet of her house, but not inside. Itās receded pretty good already. Could have been a lot worse.
My Sarasota peeps are fine, they and his dad stayed. No damage to their condo (they spent the night at the middle school where she teaches because said condo was built right after Hurricane Andrew) or his dadās house (which was described as āfortress-likeā). No power of course, but dad has a generator and plenty of fuel so theyāll be there until things get turned back on.
Like Hudson said, it could have been a whole lot worse. I havenāt watched or read much coverage, but to me it sounds like the tornadoes were as bad or worse than the storm.
Hereās what the Trop tarp-roof looks like now
I guess the Coliseum is open if the Rays need another stadium.
The Phillies have a nice ST stadium in nearby Clearwater that could be temporarily expandedā¦ Provided it hasnāt been destroyed as well.
Yikes.
Thereās Steinbrenner field in Tampa with a seating capacity of 11,000, which is likely a better alternative than Clearwater.
Expanded?
Seating capacity. Temporary bleachers set up.
Thatās what UH told UT back in the day
I think the joke is that the Rays wonāt be able to fill the stadium as it is.
Oh, I get it now. Hahahahahahaā¦ They only averaged 16,515 at home this year.
How many liters is that?
Iād guess itās little more than 9.
