Around the AL West 2023

Was it the Royals? The Texas Royals? KC Rangers? who wears road colors at a home game? Oh yeah…

Hell of a game in Chicago at the moment. Sea Hags demonstrating valiantly how hard it is to lose when you’re on a hot streak.

But it’s the bottom of the 10th and one Manfred Man scoring sinks them.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ohtani out in 2nd with an injury.

Exactly

Oh damn!

Twins beat the Rangers, don’t lose ground in the division, as far as games back at least.

The AL West is going to be a blood bath the remainder of the season. Three teams separated by 1 game in the standings.

Didn’t lose ground to the Rangers, but did to the Mariners and the Blue Jays. The Astros are now in third place in the division and basically out of the last wild card spot.

How did the Astros lose ground to the Blue Jays? They lost in Baltimore tonight 5-3.

Astros let the Mariners back into the WC last weekend, and Rangers let both the Astros and Mariners back into the division. Buckle up.

The Astros are 1.5 up on the Blue Jays. If the season ended today, the Astros would have the last Wild Card spot.

My At Bat hadn’t updated and showed them tied in the loss column, which is what matters as the Blue Jays and Mariners both own the tiebreaker. Either way, they now have two teams in front of them in the division.

Not an uncommon occurrence

Astros go to Boston.
Rangers go to NYM.
A’s go to Seattle.

Mariners and Rangers both have two “games in hand” on the Astros.

The Fish-Slingers put the winning run at the plate in the 9th, but Oakland holds on to win 3-1.

It’s a logjam at the top of the ALW.

Lots of stats and trends in this article, nice analysis…
