I don’t think the Blue Jays figure into a 4-way tie. You settle the division among the three teams first. After that, you go to the Wild Card, at which point the Jays enter the chat.

The Athletic this morning said that in the case of all 4 at 89-73, the 3 West teams make it, Mariners then Astros then Rangers.

That is correct. You’d do the first ménage à trois to settle the AL West, so the Mariners win the division. Then you have a second one for the two wild card spots, and the Astros > Rangers, the Rangers > Jays, and the Jays > Astros. So it goes back to the cumulative records against each other and the Astros would be 12-8, the Rangers 10-10 and the Jays 5-9. Jays would be out.
