Special night for Jon Singleton.

Glad it was for the Astros.

I really hope this is the start of a magical run for Singleton.

But if it’s one last day in the sun, what a storybook ending it is.

Got some runs for JV. Good recipe for a win.

Never should have gone theatre. LOL. Not like they test the illegals that we send them. Even if a small drop in the bucket that we have dealt with forever. Hope you stay safe and get well.

What in all of the fucks is this?

I was thinking it’s like when Eric Thames came back to the majors and put up video game numbers for half a season or so. If we’re lucky it’ll work out about like that.

Stay out of the sheep-dip, Bruce.

Go fuck yourself you racist piece of shit.

I bet all the “illegals” you’re scoffing at write English better than you do, you fucking waste of oxygen.

You’re a fucking cocksucker of the lowest regard, you human shit stain.

Chapman is having a fun 8th inning for the Rangers

He got out of it with a K, after 2 WP

Thanks. I figured out your post, which worries me. Thanks for your kind words about my illness. The rest of that post is what Mark said it is.

I’m participating after the fact, but listening to Brownie call some innings was like reading those two or three comic strips that Bill Watterson drew for Pearls Before Swine ten years ago or whatever it was, just hair raising stuff.

We’ve been pretty spoiled by this run of TV people over the last whatever it’s been. Anyone who regularly listens to other broadcasts knows that the Astros broadcast team is top shelf.

The original broadcaster, Gene Elston, was one of the best anywhere ever. He was the opposite of a homer, but his sidekick Lowell Passe was a terrible homer left over from the Buffs.

I didn’t get to watch much of the game last night and only caught the tail end of Brownie in the booth. I went back and spent 20 minutes this morning to watch/listen. As a 31 year old, Brownie’s will always be the voice in my head when I think about Astros baseball. As you said, hair raising stuff. It’s crazy what just hearing a voice can bring emotionally. Hearing him call a game takes me back to my childhood and watching games with my grandfather, who passed in 2017, it was great to hear him in the booth again.

All good. We are Astros fans and human, or try to be. At least most of the time. We may not always agree politically. Which used to be perfectly fine. I have been threatened twice after elections when asked who I voted for. Both times have same answer. Both times other guy won. We are a republic and we can vote how we choose. It is not always about winning or losing. It is most important to be involved in political game. Kind of hard to complain if you don’t vote. When they turn of your electricity. Hard to complain if you didn’t pay the bill.

Your problem isn’t who you voted for, it’s that your statements indicate you’re a bad human being.

Why don’t you try hard to not be a racist.

Elston was great but he’s been gone about 40 years. Might be time to get over it.

The most enjoyable game of the year. The triple homecoming of Verlander, Brownie and the Hobbsesque Singleton.
