Angels at Astros, 8/11/23

Nice, Montero.

Yes, I know and hope the same.

ETA: clarify. Hope he does better than Anthony as well.

I hope Montero is returning to the form I know he has. Some players I never will give up on, and he is one of those.

Hell of a game by Peña too.

If someone had told me that Jon Singleton would have 3 hits, 2 home runs and 5 RBI’s for the Astros this year, I would have thought they were crazy. Very happy for Jon. I hope his success continues.

When you’re down 10-3 and going to the pen again in the 8th inning, you may be having a bad time.

Part of JR’s “mystique” was that his control was sometimes a little iffy. Combine that with his 6’7” frame, his fastball, and his slider, and he was more than a little scary.

I saw one game against the Dodgers where he threw several wild pitches and wound up with about a dozen strikeouts. The Dodger batters couldn’t wait to get out of the box.

Kessinger caught looking again with base loaded. He didn’t get the “swing the fucking bat!” memo

Maton in for the 9th, and he takes a line drive to the back. He has to come out. Hopefully just precautionary

JR could toss his glove out on the mound and beat the Dodgers.

Stanek will come in to try to finish it up.

Stanek gets a 4-6-3 double play on his first pitch

Floribama took care of that.

Just checked in and saw the box score. Shit, I wish I could have tuned in tonight.

Stanek took care of business.

Stanek abuses the next scrub. That’ll do it. Nice win.

11-3 is your final,
