“tomorrow” being today
Altuve si, Peña no.
He’s the next big thing, don’t you know?
Generalissimo Whitley is still injured
Peña’s soreness persists.
Recovery from amputation takes a while.
It’s just a flesh wound
More discomfort:
… Cabrera was probably in the game zone.
That was tough to see.
Feel terrible for Jake.
I do also. He turned his season around with sheer determination and belief in himself, and now this is probably a season-ending injury on what looked like a normal move off the mound.
Fingers crossed Dusty’s right here:
“He’s probably doing better than it looked like on the mound,” manager Dusty Baker said. “He has to go get analyzed by the doctors tomorrow, and so we’ll have more word tomorrow. He’s on crutches and he was in a boot, [but] he’s in good spirits so … we hope for the best.”
A boot? That sounds lower than the ACL.
I thought it was knee or upper leg.
I was going to go with “limb.”
My first fear was Achilles tendon tear. But now I am thinking more of a torn muscle or tendon.
May be no more serious than a badly sprained ankle. Those things hurt like hell too.
Nope. He has died of dysentery.
Earlier in the year he was dying of disinterest.
If it was indeed a sprain, he was smart to plop down on the ground and get himself carted off. What you do in the first 15 minutes after an ankle sprain really matters. Most try to “walk it off” and significantly extend the damage and length of recovery.
