I just hate the subterfuge regarding the cause, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of the mysterous hand discomfort.
Dusty and Click have said that they’re deliberately vague about injuries, hence the various “discomforts”, so they don’t give other teams a competitive advantage against players. I guess I can buy that, but agree with the frustration.
Wonder if MLB will put rules in place to force more disclosure now that it has gone all in on sports betting. A major rationale for NFL injury reports is to prevent the creation of a market for bettors wanting insider information.
Just stop trying to force Alvarez back into the lineup and give him two weeks off. He shouldn’t pick up a bat for at least the next 10 days.

Aledmys headed to a rehab assignment on Thursday while Pressly threw a bullpen today per reports.
Yordan is in the lineup today.
