Take Cabrera’s name out of your mofoin’ mouth!
Whew!
That’s encouraging.
I’m in Corpus right now but committed to my nephew becoming a deacon. Glad he did well.
Jim,
Duman’s post was informative…
I love your knowledge and love of the game, but sometimes - no often - your posts may be misunderstood.
Like this one:
I took your post at face value (not unlike the exchange above) was glad Thomas was claimed by ANY team.
So, should I put you down as a “dislike”?
Your dumbassery continues unabated. You still missed the meaning of my post about Thomas. VB asked for an explanation, and I explained what I meant by “same player.” I believe you do not understand most of the baseball posts her, not only mine.
Reverse Cabrera indeed. Your new handle is Captain Obvious.
Your new handle is Captain Obvious.
I was thinking something lower on the totem pole – maybe Ensign Obvious.
Yordan and Pena out of tonight’s lineup
Ugh
Yordan and Pena out of tonight’s lineup
The fact that they haven’t already been put on the IL is encouraging, right?
If there wasn’t such a thing as retroactive DLing, I’d be more encouraged.
It’s time for Bregman, Tucker, and Yuli to pick up the slack.
A 6-3 swing thru NY is impressive. Very impressed by the team.
How bout we win tonight and make that 7-2
With an asterisk on the first of the two.
It’s time for Bregman, Tucker, and Yuli to pick up the slack.
I am confused about why you picked them? It seems they have picked up the slack lately.
Bregman last 14 days: .395/.521/.658
Bregman last 28 days: .284/402/.444
He raised his average +15, OBP +16 and Slug +8 in last month
Tucker last 14 days: .237/.341/.553 (3 dbls, 3 HR and 12 RBI)
Tucker last 28 days: .289/.385/602
Raised average +27, OBP +19 and Slug +53 in the last month
Yuli last 14 days: .282/.317/.513
Yuli last 28 days: .238/.304/.441
He has raised average +10, OBP +20 and Slug +30 in the last month.
IMO Those who have to step up will be those who will play in the place of Alvarez and Pena.
I chose them because
a) their trends have been encouraging lately, as you point out;
b) they’re the guys that I think could most likely have a Yordan-esque hot streak; and
c) I do NOT expect much of a contribution from the Yordan and Peña replacements, moreso Yordan’s replacement, obviously.
With any luck, those guys won’t miss much time and my concerns won’t matter.
