Altuve update from the Athletic:
Altuve might be able to return as early as this weekend or early next week, Baker said. He has been able to resume running and weight lifting but as of Thursday hadn’t yet resumed hitting, according to Baker, who said he texts him almost daily.
“His spirits are good,” Baker said. “He sounds good.”
How often is almost daily?
Not quite every day, but, you know, like almost.

Like at least five times this week.
Each day this week this I intended to work out, but ultimately never did. So, I almost worked out daily.

Was just reviewing his draft year. Nice to get some production from him as it was a bleak draft for the home team.
Yeah, pretty horrific. Jacob Nottingham and his 0.7 WAR leads the way of the few guys who made the bigs and all that was with the Brewers.
- Jake Odorizzi is being examined today after having to leave yesterday’s game after just five pitches. More will be known when tests are complete, but Astros GM James Click gave an optimistic view on the injury during an interview on the team’s pregame radio show today (hat tip to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle). “The initial read yesterday was more of a muscle cramp in the pronator muscle, which is not the flexor mass,” Click said.

Covering first? I think I remember that, if so, but he still is out?

Click said Sunday on the pregame show, he was throwing but not off a mound. But was close to testing out full landing on the ankle.
