Verlander has been placed on the 15-day IL. Nick Hernandez had been selected to take his spot on roster. The move is retroactive to 6/16/24.

So with JV now on the IL, the Astros have 5 starters on the 40-man that are not on an injured list. Framber, Brown, Blanco, Arrighetti, and… Blair Henley. Good god

I’ve seen nothing more recent than six months on McCullers. He was hoping for a rehab assignment sometime in the summer.
