Posted in the game thread, but Greinke is having arm troubles and has been seen by a doctor, per McTaggert
Grienke and Strom got some work in Tuesday night after the announcement of arm soreness:
Man, I woke up this morning thinking this was a dream. Ugh.
Apparently, doctors said no structural damage to Greinkeās arm, but no other information about recovery time line.
Discomfort?
Fuck, I hope itās not that bad!
I assume his arm is still attached to his body, so probably not
Greinke is starting game 4.
This is great news.
Itās good news if heās healthy enough to go six innings. If not, Iām not sure how great it is. But at least both Paredes and Pressly should be available today.
Good news.
But of course it donāt guarantee nuthinā.
He does not have to go 6. If he can hold them down for 4, and if we are hitting, that will be good. Anything more than 4 good innings is a bonus. He is pitching hurt, for Peteās sake, and you are demanding 6???
+1!
Regardless, this means Javier at close to full strength tomorrow if needed, along with Paredes, Pressley and probably Lance.
Thatās it.
It shuffles a strained staff into a slightly less strained position.
Meanwhile Melvin is staring at the possibility of using Fiers in that launching pad atmosphere.
Iām not demanding anything. Iām saying if heās still hurt, it may not necessarily be great news.
Yeah. The team will be fortunate to get multiple good innings out of him.
One can only hope Grienke goes full Grienke today and Jedi-mindfās them with pitch calls out loud, etc.
Hopefully his 87 mph changeup plays off his 87 mph FB well.
Silly me. I thought you said healthy enough to go six.
I said if heās healthy enough to go six, or is otherwise basically himself, then yes, itās great news. If heās not healthy, and theyāre just trying to cobble together something, then no, itās not necessarily great news. It smacks more of desperation than celebration. Your mileage may vary.
