I assume that someone somewhere is recording the price of eggs, the price of oil/gasoline, the unemployment rate, the inflation rate, the LIBOR numbers, the GDP growth rate, etc, etc today.

All 1,500+ persons charged in the January 6, 2021 coup attempt have been pardoned. Those currently incarcerated are expected to be released tonight to tomorrow.

They prosecuted the worst of the worst first. Lesser offenses were plead out. Anyone still in jail after 4 years did some seriously egregious shit.
But it’s still the greatest propaganda campaign/effort in American history.

A blizzard (ironically) of Executive Orders issued yesterday, many of which are of dubious legality (at best) and all of which are horrific. Examples are:
- Exiting the Paris Climate Agreement, joining only three other countries as non-signatories - those being North Korea, East Asia and Mordor;
- Exiting the World Health Organization, joining only Lichtenstein (seriously) as non-members; and
- Ending birthright citizenship, with rules written in such a way as to make Kamala Harris no longer a citizen.
The last one is tricky given that birthright citizenship is enshrined in the Constitution, but that’s not going to help people scooped up by Trump’s deportation brown shirts and dumped into whatever country he can find to take them. And it’s not as if this SCOTUS is going to be rushing to anyone’s aid.
And with all of that and the pardon of the Jan 6 traitors, Elon Musk stole all of Trump’s headlines by doing a full-on Nazi salute, not once but twice. And not a Laura Ingraham salute that turns into a wave for plausible deniability; it was a forearm across the chest to emphatic extended-palm full arm salute.
While the press dances around the issue by calling it “accidental” (when was the last time you gave an accidental Nazi salute?), the audience in the room erupted and the Nazis online haven’t stopped jerking off over their keyboards about it. As the adage goes, if Nazis think you’re a Nazi…

Deportation roundups are supposed to start today, Trump has rescinded Biden’s executive order lowering drug prices for seniors and the Senate has already passed a bill to remove the prescription drug cost caps in MediCare and Medicaid. I’m sure the House will be on that asap. Anyone know the price of eggs?
The only “good” news here is that they are shooting the moon out of the gate. If they were to turn up the heat on this frog slowly, then they would be able to have everything fully locked down before Trump voters (or erstwhile non-voters) realized what was happening. At least this way there’s a chance that there will be a backlash before this disease fully takes hold.
