The leadership (and many members) of the Texas Legislature either actively despise Sid Miller or think of him as a noisy, self-centered fool. But he consistently gets elected by landslides in statewide voting and more to the point here, that bill has a significant amount of support in other areas to offset the derision that would normally be attached to a bill giving any sort of power to Sid Miller. So yeah, it has a chance.

I mean, you guys act like humans have only been shitting for a couple of centuries. Granted some cultures, still prefer to shit outside. But most want to shit in a bathroom or whatever you call it.
