A Republic, If You Can Keep It

The logic in Trump’s justification for defying the judges is that “one person doesn’t get to decide what is legal.” That goes way over most of MAGA’s collective head.

[Insert Nathan Fillion meme here]

(which is from Castle, not Firefly)

In case you missed it…Marco Rubio and the U.S. State Dept has expelled the South African ambassador to the U.S. He’s been stripped of his diplomatic immunity and ordered to leave the country by Friday. He’s accused of “hating Donald Trump”, among other things, and South Africa being “anti-white”, in general. On a side note, Elon Musk just splooged his pants.

Trump administration says South African ambassador has to leave the US by Friday

Roger Murtaugh did that a while ago.

That film is now 35 years old, when Apartheid was still going strong. Trump has apparently decided that the white minority in South Africa has been oppressed for too long. It’s time they get their due.

Deportations are out of control.

People are being put on planes to Venezuela because of things like their skin color and additional “evidence” like interpretation of their tattoos. No due process; just disappeared.

Trump is doing what is good for Putin or good for Musk. Nothing else. The pattern is as obvious as the orange on his face.

This man is guilty of going on honeymoon with his new (brown) wife. She’s been sitting in an ICE detention center for a month already.

They didn’t even leave the US; they went to Puerto Rico.

We are in a Twilight Zone episode. Yep THAT Twighlight Zone episode.

Trump says that all pardons issued by Biden “are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT” (yes, he typed it in all caps). He’s looking into ordering his thugs at the DOJ to prosecute those pardoned by Biden, including Dr. Fauci, Gen. Milley, Liz Cheney, and of course, Hunter Biden. Oh, and the U.S. Representatives who investigated the January 6th insurrection.

Trump says Biden’s pardons are now ‘void and vacant’ after autopen controversy

Oh, and fentanyl is a weapon of mass destruction.

Trump undoing official presidential pardons by tweet is a bad precedent to set.

Bannon’s “flooding the zone” strategy, supercharged by Stephen Miller’s obnoxious malevolence (and the laundry list of other foul forces in play), has been breathtakingly effective thus far. It’s like an extraordinarily evil game of Whack-A-Mole, and there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight.

What does that make an anesthesiologist or pretty much any surgeon practicing in the last 60 years?

Or a paramedic transporting a patient who severely fractured his kneecap to the hospital and trying to help them with the pain, which happened to me in November. Fentanyl in the ambulance was a temporary life saver.

It’s all just so dumb. Everyone knows that a war on fentanyl isn’t the kind of “war” that is required to trigger the Alien Enemies Act; but they’re going to argue it anyway. Other facts that are insane about it all are that basically no fentanyl comes across the border from Canada, and over 90% of the fentanyl coming across the Mexico border is carried by U.S. citizens.

The smug gaslighting is just horrific. And they’re using it to do horrific things.

No, that is his interpretation of the effect of Biden’s use of an autopen to sign pardons.

Are we to believe Trump went over every J6 case and “knew what he was doing” and also signed each one? Bullshit.

I’m pretty confident the slapdick can’t read, so probably no.
