Chuck Schumer’s capitulation on the spending bill coincided with the start of a book tour. I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether needing to stay in Washington to negotiate a proper bill rather than be on his book tour informed Chuck’s decision-making, but it’s all now moot. He’s cancelled the tour.
I’m guessing that the cancellation has something to do with his sacklessness pissing off pretty much everyone not named Donald Trump, and that mass protests were being organized for every one of the scheduled tour stops.
