A federal judge has ruled Musk’s mass, willy-nilly firings of government employees is illegal and has ordered the Departments of Defense, Treasury, Energy, Interior, Agriculture, and Veteran’s Affairs to immediately hire these people back. The assumption is that Musk will simply tell the federal judge to go fuck himself.

On the mass firings, they are totally fucked because the got caught sending out dismissal notices to people citing their poor performance - in an attempt to get around the exact rules being applied by Chutkan - but fucked up such that they went out addressed to “[Employee FirstName] [Employee LastName]”.
