There’s a small pub (bar really) in Victoria Station called the Mash Tun and they always had bottles of Lone Star in the fridge. I’m thinking they were there for so long because no one was buying them.
Sadly, yes.
I asked the bartender at one of the pubs I was at (while ordering a Guinness) how they sold and she said after Guinness (by a fair margin) it was the most popular pint.
I weep for the future.
Seeing Irish lads drinking Coors Light in a seaside town outside of Dublin was a sad state.
The crazy thing is that Guinness - oz for oz - is almost as “lite” as lite beer.
Calories per oz:
Coors Lite = 8.5
Guinness = 10
Guinness also has 1000% more flavor per ounce and is incredibly refreshing when served cold on a hot day. Also, while drinking it, you don’t look like a complete numpty.
Another Trump administration, another deadly pandemic.
Try drinking 5 Guiness vs. 5 Coors Lights in an hour or so. You definitely know the difference.
Why would I want to do that?
You’re not an Irish lad.
I was talking about the Coors, not the G.
The point is, 5 Guiness is a wet loaf of bread in your stomach while 5 Coors Light is a couple of pisses from 5 more.
I prefer Harp Lager to Guinness.
I was about to say…Coors was near universal across the UK.
I have discovered that the non-alcoholic Guinness is quite good.
Looks like yesterday was a pee break on the road to financial oblivion. DJIA down nearly 500 points again today.
In case anybody cares, a 0.4% monthly increase in the wholesale index annualizes to 4.9%. Assuming things don’t get worse. Thanks, Obama.
It’s down 4% over the last 5 days.
This is so fucking stupid. These tariffs are going to devastate the wine industry.
But, yes, get on the Turley mailing list and some other guy’s who also makes wine there.
I have some of that other guy’s wine, but he needs to get on the stick and start making me more
