On the same day that Biden announced some executive orders around gun reform - and begged congress to fucking do something - there’s been another mass shooting. This one in Bryan, TX.
Second mass shooting in the US in as many days.

Just a vague memory of Spikes & Stars credentials. I think it was why the site’s name changed from OWA to S&S for awhile. The Astros (I think) didn’t want to issue credentials to a site with “Ass” in its name.
Lots of reasons for that change. But not because we had Astros press credentials.
Didn’t someone manage to get a press pass to something (Fan Fest) back in the AstrosConnection days?

I had a press pass for 2001 Spring Training, but I honestly don’t remember if Kevin got it for me or if I just sweet-talked the woman in Kissimmee. Either way, we had a press pass and got to go on to all the fields and ST games for free. A highlight of my career.
Someone in the stands recognized me from my Series Previews picture and that remains one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me.
