I watched Ryno, when he was still in the Phills organization, play in OKC in 1981. He really stood out on that team and there was no doubt he was soon to be a major league ballplayer. But, I had no idea he would turn out as great as he did.

I always thought Bill Doran was unlucky to play at the same time as Sandberg, who was, by far, the best 2nd baseman of his era.
