Right on.
Appreciate the clarification.
Dikembe Mutumbo, 58
Fuck cancer.
Aw, FUCK.
Oh man, RIP Dikembe. What an amazing human being.
His humanitarian work will far outlive him.
An absolutely awesome guy.
Iām sure Iāve told this story before but if it ever merited a revisit itās now. Iām in college, fine fall Saturday afternoon, Iām walking down to the area with all the shops and so on, Deke is ambling along about half a block in front of me. Walking up the other way are two women, both completely loaded down with shopping bags of every conceivable type. Deke obviously knows them, he stops, smiles broadly, greets them and asks, Who are you shopping for, your mother, your auntie? I hear all of this clearly because by the time itās happening Iām right on top of it. They look up at him with a total lack of comprehension and both reply, almost in unison, Weāre shopping for us!
That made a big impression, and itās never been far from the front of my mind since.
Some guys donāt get that many blocks in a season.
This is a good watch, but tough to do so.
Powerful.
Pete Rose, 83
Damn, can we stop this streak for bit?
I wouldnāt bet on it
I hope this doesnāt mean Mutumbo gets Farrah Fawcetted.
Well, he lived long enough to see FanDuel become an official MLB sponsor.
I could not stand Rose when he was playing a long time before the betting stuff. I am not going to rejoice now, but I am not going to mourn either.
I canāt image two more polar opposite humans than Dikembe Mutumbo and Pete Rose.
