I actually find the Yainer Diaz move a curious one.
With Machete/Vazquez at catcher, zero chance he plays there even if he had fewer flaws as a receiver.
You’ve got Yuli/Mancini at first base so he won’t play there.
And you’ve got Yordan/Mancini sucking up all the DH plate appearances.
Is there another shoe yet to drop here?

Diaz also gives them an extra C eligible for the postseason roster, just in case.
He has played a lot of 1B too. Could provide a lot of flexibility.
All valid points. Now I’m curious. Add to that the fact the Lee has also been looking good since he got sent down, you’d think if they wanted a third catcher it’d be him. He knows the pitchers on the big league staff.
