2021 roster

I found my answer. Per Jake Kaplan, Whitley was optioned to the minors during spring training, so he’s on the minor-league IL, which makes him ineligible to be on the MLB 60-day IL.

To free up the roster spot, they’d first have to recall him from the minors to the majors before placing him on the 60-day IL. That’d start the service time clock and Whitley would accrue a major league salary. No way the Astros do that unless they are really desperate.

Could they just fire him into the fucking sun?

You really think there’s an extra seat on that rocket presently?

Have to balance out the weight, Angel H really throws it off

Did Joe West retire, speaking of balancing out the weight?

No such luck.

He set the record for most games by an ump a few weeks ago IIRC.

Quite a ride for Myles.

Was wondering how we did this year with each Astro in the starting lineup.

Was not remotely shocked about Maldy being so high.

Fully aware this is probably meaningless.

See, we don’t need Alex. We have Toro!

Martes DFA’d to make space for Ryan Hartman on the 40-man, who is called up and available to give up multiple runs to the Orioles tonight.

Damn. Martes DFA. Once untouchable.

All 9 of Hartman’s appearances in AAA were starts. Has it been said if he is moving into Urquidy’s rotation spot or going to the bullpen with Javier talking Urquidy’s spot???

I would think they just go back to a 5 man rotation.

BTW Singleton is playing on the same Mexican League team as Osuna.
