Just a 20 year old kid. So very sad, and just awful for his family.
No hint yet as to cause. âNot suspiciousâ is all APD said.
At Mothers Day lunch yesterday, my father-in-law said that it sounded like suicide but he âhopes it was a drug overdose because at least that would be unintentionalâ. It was all I could do to not say âWHAT THE FUCK?â loudly in the middle of a restaurant.
Danny Noonan from Caddyshack? How could that character be Murrayâs older brother?
Bertelsen was my favorite as a kid. Always wore 35 in little league football.
Sick comment.
Heâs not exactly known for his progressive views on addiction or mental health.
Yes, itâs best to just acknowledge this a terrible thing for any family to endure.
Never mind, Iâm slow. He was the inspiration for Danny Noonan.
âHappy Motherâs Day, my gift is that I didnât kick your dadâs ass for that.â
Nothing like kindly prioritizing a familyâs heartbreak and anguish for them. Thatâs just being neighborly.
The comment about Jake Ehlinger just slightly beat out a very racist comment for the worst thing he said during the meal.
Tawny Kitaen of Whitesnake and Chuck Finley fame.
Radio today said she was inspired by seeing girls backstage at a Peter Frampton concert at age 14.
Started her career path from there.
One of Bertelsenâs running mates, Ted Koy, has a vet clinic here in Georgetown. Not sure how active Dr. Koy is in the practice these days.
As most if not all UT fans know, Koyâs father and brother (both named Ernie) also starred in football at UT. Ernie Sr. played MLB for the Dodgers, Cards, Reds, and Phillies.
Street, Bertelsen, Worster, and Koy were a great backfield for the Hornsâ Wishbone offense in 1969.
Iâm old enough to remember young Ernie. Played with Duke Carlisle.
Ernie Jr and Ted both played on National Championship teams, and all three Koys are in the Longhorn Hall of Honor.
Actor Norman Lloyd.
Mercury Theatre vet (Orson Welles, John Houseman, Agnes Morehead, Joseph Cotten, et al).
Blacklisted (though his career was hurt far less than many others).
Played Dr. Auschlander on St Elsewhere.
Notable film roles in Hitchcockâs Saboteur and Charlie Chaplinâs Limelight.
Married 75 years.
Dead at 106 {and was still working as an actor as late as 2015).
Man, I loved St. Elsewhere but had forgotten about it completely. It is available on Hulu, and I will reprise it at home.
