RAIN! At least for Game One. The Astros always prefer closed.
They should have Bidge throw from 2B to Bags on 1B.
Now that would be something.
This was my thought exactly
Got something to watch tonight.
I like to think of Aaron Boone sitting at home muttering about a closed roof.
This aināt right, but we should grease the poles in case they happen to find the galleria.
Are there even any stores still open at Greenspoint?
Thats too funny. At first glance thought sharpstown and galleria. Thats the place to send em. LMAO.
In high school I used to play ice hockey at the Sharpstown rink. We always saw something interesting happen. Good to see some things donāt change.
Correct I ignored Manciniās assignment in lf. The MLB network effort was a reach, perhaps even at dh also Thereās no guarantee that Harper is superior to Alvarez. I just hope we remember 2019 when Friday rolls around. Of the ws teams weāve faced, Washington keeps popping up as a reference point
See:. Bellinger, Cody
A little scouting from CBS sports:
Rhys Hoskins (5 home runs), Kyle Schwarber (3), and J.T. Realmuto (2) have all helped power Philadelphiaās run. But Bryce Harper has more than lived up to his superstar billing, hitting a scorching .419 in the postseason with five home runs and 11 RBI. His 39 total bases is 15 more than the closest teammate.
And info on Nola:
Nolaās 11-13 record in the regular season might not inspire a ton of confidence, but a closer look at his season-long performance shows why Philadelphia is confident enough to send him to the mound in Game 1. He recorded 235 strikeouts, ranking fourth in Major League Baseball. His 0.96 WHIP ranked seventh. Nola gave up six earned runs against the Padres last time out, but in his prior two outings he combined for 12.2 innings with no earned runs and 12 strikeouts.
Nola shut us down in the last series, and Wheeler is very good too. They have a better lineup than NYY. Anyone who thinks this will be easy is crazy.
If JV pitches the first few innings like he did against NY, the Phillies arenāt letting him off the hook with 1 run.
Not sure if anyone remembers me but I posted for a brief time back in 2019 after lurking for I believe 17 years prior so I suppose Iām the rare cicada poster. I still religiously follow the game day posts and sometimes when I get too nervous I read an inning before catching up to it on live TV.
Anyway, is anyone wants to kill 40 minutes anxiously awaiting JVās first pitch this Apollo podcast from Wednesday with Blummer is really good. At the 12:20 mark I think he comes up with a term that aptly describes this team. He says the Astros have more than a quiet confidence, its a sinister arrogance. I donāt know if Iāve ever heard that phrase before but I really like it although I hope it doesnāt mean weāre taking the Phillies lightly, but I donāt think we are.
He also brings up a good point that nobody really talks about the 2005 White Sox and they went 11-1 with the only blemish a 3-2 defeat to the Halos. Of course that year stings the other way obviously as we played the 2022 Mariners role in the sweep.

Couldnāt have said it better. I could easily see this series going the distance.
