I was going to say that not serving the Astros at all seems like a missed opportunity when you could just take their money and give them food poisoning.
I entered a contest onceâfirst prize was a week inPhilly, second prize was two weeks, third prize 3.
With apologies to WC Fields. There was no third prize though, and Fields won second.
I thought of looking it up to properly quote it but i was lazy.
And thatâs why Jomboy wonât ever get a click from me.
I donât tweet, but I saw this. Aged like a gallon of milk left in the trunk of your car.
There have only been 19 combined no-hitters in the history of the game. The Astros own 4 of them. And three in the past four seasons.
Each game has seemed to produce a large momentum swing. Game 4 a must win for Houston; Game 5 a must for Philadelphia. The Astros went from the truck bed to the driverâs seat.
The Killer Vs are up. If they do their job, the Astros have the crown.
I cannot find the post about the Texans being the team to beat the undefeated eagles or something like that, but I saw the Texans tweet and think they need to have the social media guy talk to the Astrosâ social media guy.
The big deal today with some of the media is subtle complaints about Javier being taken out with a no hitter going. Jason Stark is the biggest offender. They seem incapable of understanding a win was far more important than a no hitter. I read one comment to a column saying the Astrosâ not caring about a no hitter illustrate why baseball is not fun these days.
Clueless, I tells ya.
These people need to cast a glance at a calendar.
He was at 97 pitches through 6 innings. Anybody who thinks he had any shot of pitching 3! More innings is a dumbass of the highest order
Hereâs the altercation which seemed pretty benign
His velocity was dropping off some in the 6th. I admit I would have liked to have seen him go out there for the 7th but the right call was bringing Abreu in and letting the bullpen close it out. The biggest concern wasnât a no hitter, it was getting the series back to Houston.
Yeah thatâs a 20 not a 19 in front of the 22.
I donât think that it is a matter of being clueless. Itâs just about finding another reason to badmouth the Astros.
Well, they may be a little confused since it says November instead of October like it should.
A Twitter post I saw this morning said that the handwringing about the combined no-hitter is why baseball needs better gatekeepers. I felt obligated to point out that baseball doesnât need better gatekeepers, it needs fewer gatekeepers.
