If Dusty Baker manages the rest of the series like he did tonight, yes, it’s highly unlikely. If Justin Verlander can’t pull his head out of his ass and find his regular season form, it’s unlikely, too.
It’s not a good omen, but it doesn’t mean the series is over, either.

It makes no sense. He has closer stuff, and he’s got a lot more experience as a high-leverage reliever than Garcia.

I do not believe the “matchup sheet” bs for a minute, but if it is true, the guy who prepared it should be fired. A #5 starter against their 2-3-4? As many have said, Dusty and JV lost that one. The offense coasting in neutral for much of the game did not help either.
