If it was a 1-1 pitcherās duel that went into extras, then whatever. Get 'em the next time. Even if it was 5-5 after Nola and Verlander kept trading bad inningsā¦ But 5-0 is a wound that will be very difficult to heal.

The Astros are a veteran team with a lot of postseason experience. This is not some irreparable wound. They were down 3-0 to the Rays in 2020 and pushed it to 7. Lost the first two at home in 2019 against the Nationals and won all three in D.C. Yes, tonight sucked. But, the sky isnāt falling and they will bounce back.

I could care fucking less about history. There are six games left in the series. If a team with the amount of postseason experience the Astros have canāt dust themselves off and regroup after this type of loss, they didnāt deserve to be here anyway.

Look, Iām pissed about tonight as much as anyone. But Iām not going to turn into a Negative Nancy after game 1.
That said, it does concern me that they struggle to win at MMP in the World Series.

Itās not being a negative nancy, itās fucking true. This team just folded like a card table twice in 10 innings due to managerial moronitude and horrific at bats.
Thatās not exactly a good omen for the rest of the series.

Is Dusty going to manage those games like a random game in June too? Because he sure as fuck managed this game like heās playing the fucking Angels with a 10+ game league. But itās the fucking World Series. Itās a race to 4 and Dusty just gave them a 25% head start. I donāt trust Dusty. The players will respond, but will Dusty get his head out of his ass?
Might they win in spite of him? Sure that could happen. I would love nothing more than to be wrong.
Regardless of anything else, Hensley must be the DH tomorrow.
