I’m all for leaving it closed, regardless of weather. MMP gets insanely loud in October when the roof is closed.
You’d think that would make it hard to hear the signals.
Hey! That was over a decade ago. And, you can’t pin last night on me. I was not able to watch the game. Stupid work.
It should indeed be very nice this evening. The current line bearing down on Houston should be largely thru the area by noon or 1pm. Have your phones on and charged, btw. It means business. Likely there will be embedded tornados in the line as it moves thru.
My son and I are planning to go to the Friday game. Weather looks great! Expect civility: Braves fans are thrilled to have their team in the WS, so am I. Glad to have the WS - and an Astros game - close! (Have the BBG compensated Atlanta for the loss of the AS game, while at the same time giving the Astros a chance to make a statement?)
Hated to see Charlie got hurt!
I’m doing everything different today.
The BBGs work in strange and mysterious ways. One of the interesting story lines about this WS is how it has highlighted the careers of some of the Black pioneers of the game, such as Hank and Dusty, and of what they had to endure playing in the South. It is a good reminder of how far we’ve come, and also of how far we still need to go.
The Astros blue jersey I wear to the games is on an 0-5 WS streak. The cursed jersey will remain in our room tonight. We also hope for better seatmates.
where are you sitting?
It’s not true.
About 800 Cherokees resisted the Indian Removal Act, and their descendants became the North Carolina-based Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The tribe owns Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and is a Braves corporate sponsor.
Eastern Band Principal Chief Richard Sneed told the AJC that if the Braves consult with him, he’ll say that he has no problem with the team name — which honors the warrior spirit — but it’s time to hang up the tomahawk chop.
“That’s just so stereotypical, like old-school Hollywood,” Chief Sneed said. “Come on, guys. It’s 2020. Let’s move on. Find something else.”
Torchy’s? Love Street? Maybe you and Mark should hit up Ninfa’s for lunch. FOR GOD’S SAKE, DO SOMETHING, MAN!!!
Looks like rain is over here. Sun coming out.
Spanish Flowers like old times?
We ate a huge breakfast at First Watch. Not sure what is next.
We are a huge breakfast at First Watch. Not sure what is next.
If you guys would like to meet up sometime this afternoon before the game, let me know. I’ll be sitting with a group including Leslie in section 316 tonight.
First Watch is a solid breakfast choice
Yep, Mark introduced me to it several years ago when we were here for a game.
I’ll be sitting with a group including Leslie in section 316 tonight.
Me, too!
We are in section 415. I am not going to say we were up high in the section, but a Sherpa took us to our seats.

That’s not true. The Sherpa stopped and pointed us the rest of the way about half way up.
That’s right. I forgot he complained about altitude sickness.
