What are you drinking, 2023…and 2024?

The good news:

St Michael’s Outcast cranberry orange mead is tasty as fuck.

Wait a minute what the hell’s wrong with cumin yogurt?

Nothing, unless there’s a space in it.

The soap dispenser line kills me every time.

And it’s relevant to this particular moment.

Eh, a Boulevardier is a hell of a lot better than a Negroni.

This is absolutely correct.

Disagree, but it is a good drink. My bourbon favorite is a Paper Plane though.

Nope, not for me but I can see it for a bourbon drinker. Let’s call if a tie.

I’ve been into some of the lesser known traditional Korean alcohols that are seeing a resurgence from craft brewers and distillers. One great find is a kind of fermented rice wine (makgeolli) with a higher alcohol content (about 10 to 15 percent) called takjoo. You can get it from different regions that use specific ingredients and techniques from that area as well as seasonal ingredients so your experience can vary quite a bit but still be familiar. I was already a big makgeolli fan so this new version is right up my alley.

Gentlemen…no reason one cannot enjoy both. Cocktails, like baseball strategy, are highly situationally dependent.

Unsurprisingly, I am drinking a Blue Moon Belgian White wheat ale. Settled in to watch the game and…. fizzle. I hate days off.
