You obviously never tried to watch Cloverfield.
Correct, and I did like For Love of the Game
Yeah, well, The Postman is generally considered worse. I canāt help it. If itās any help, I only saw them once as I recall.
Except For Love of the Game. I saw that two or three times. It was generally panned when it was released, but I liked it.
I still watch For Love of the Game multiple times each year. One of my favorites.
R.I.P. Kelly Preston she was one of my teen crushes.
I like the movie as well, but there should be an edit thatās just the baseball stuff.
This is the movie I use as an example of a bad movie. Awful
I saw a comment that Alan Rickman was the only actor in that who recognized what movie he was in.
I especially love that last scene with Little John:
āHey . . . Is this heaven?ā
āNo. Itās Sherwood.ā
Has anyone made it all the way through Trouble with the Curve? Is that the worst baseball movie of the last thirty years?
I was looking through a list of movies made in Georgia, and came across Trouble with the Curve. I honestly couldnāt remember if Iād seen it or not.
Yes. And, yes. My wife said, āI finally found a movie weāll both likeā. She got an A for effort but an F in application.
I saw it. Do not member much of it, but I do not remember it being historically bad.
Iāll remind you that Little Big League exists, sir.
HOW DARE YOU
Whatās not to like about this movie, tho admittedly it is a little chick-flicky?
- A grouch that abandoned his daughter? Why?
- The grouch is part of a dying breed, literally & figuratively.
- Geeks are taking over, they discount human (especially his) assessment skills.
- A red hot, canāt miss, prospect w/ an attitude. (Donāt they all?)
- A favorite abuse target that likes to throw a baseballā¦
- The grouchās daughter is being abused again - a chauvinistic firmā¦
- Clint Eastwood & baseball - whatās not to like!
I am a sucker for father-daughter flicks.
