Following up on the conversation about places to see in the UK. I’ve been to almost none of these.
To maintain at least some credibility, here’s the Cotswolds.
We’ll be in Snowdonia, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and potentially the Isle of Man in July. We’re looking forward to this very much.
+100 on the Cotswolds. Plunk yourself anywhere in the district and you are a stones throw away from an idyllic English village with thatched roofs, trout-full streams and the cozy uppity pubs you’d see in an English Rom-Com. Except it’s not a movie set. It’s absolutely real.
A friend of mine just returned from the Isle of Man and said he loved it.
At the Kailua-Kona airport waiting to fly back to O’ahu and then back to Texas. Been a good trip. You guys were right, had to fight back the tears during the visit to Pearl Harbor. The Big Island is so laid back compared to O’ahu which is part jungle, part beaches, part Manhattan, and part Disneyland. The Volcano National Park is a beautiful area. Wasn’t impressed with Hilo. Saw so much spectacular scenery driving around. Took some wonderful hikes. No helicopter rides for me, but if I ever come back some deep sea fishing will be on the agenda. Ate a shit ton of tremendous seafood. Only drank one mai tai but it wasn’t bad.
