His contract isn’t actually that bad. 37M this year, 33M in 26, 32M in 27, 31M in 28 and then team/vesting options from 29-32 starting at 25M in 29 and dropping by 5 million each year, ending at 10M in 32. If he’s getting hurt you can get out of it after after 28 and if he’s good then you have a player who’s only getting cheaper each year

It isn’t that bad for the the player production created in '21, '22 & '24 seasons…but it isn’t for the player production created in '23 and this season.

I think Carlos is the type of guy that thrives on winning teams. Get him on a good team and I think his production will be closer to the good years than the bad.
It would, however, create a mess of a situation should Pena, Correa and Paredes be on the same team and healthy.

The recent losses to Oakland have been tough. I didn’t expect us to make a trade just yet, but I would’ve at least expected a little more trade chatter and rumors but there has been very little of that so far. Sure hope Dana has a few things cooking.
