I wouldn’t think twice about going over the threshold if I could truly get Buxton and Maeda.
But I read he can make another $10M on top of that per season depending on how he performs. Not sure where he stands on that and not sure how that gets counted (or not) against the luxury tax.
Buxton also makes your entire pitching staff better with his defense, provided you can keep him from running into walls and injuring himself (not an easy task).
Good Ole Boob Nightingale
Pete Reiser (sp?) come again.
Rieser(?)
Yes improves defense.
Also lengthens the lineup.
But he needs to stay healthy.
FYI. Small issue but the Toro trade makes either Robel Garcia or Taylor Jones the likely 13th position player.
But Diaz’s versatility basically allows that player to play any position.
Here are the seasonal incentives in Maeda’s contract:
- Innings Pitched Bonus
$250,000 each for: 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200 - Games Started Bonus
$1M each for: 15, 20,
$1.5M each for 25, 30, 32 - Opening Day Roster Bonus: $150,000
Before I get too excited, I’d like to know Click is after them. Someone call him, and tell him what the TZ recommends.
Giants are efforting Story.
The Rox will absolutely screw that up
Interesting new verb
I’m suprised Bryant and Story have not yet been moved.
Here we go:
Ken Rosenthal
For Myles Straw it seems
Maton is a high strikeout guy with too many walks and a lot of fly balls, but he only makes $975k this year and has three more years of control.
For Myles Straw it seems
Wtf? There has to be another move?
Has to be
Buxton?
For Myles Straw it seems
Another move must be coming.
