Rangers deal Lorenzen to the Royals for a minor league LHP:
The Rays are playing the role of the person in fantasy baseball who offers ridiculous trades no contender would accept.
I’m no prospect guru but it appears the Rays are kicking ass. They are dealing players where they have ready made replacements in the minors and doing so in a seller’s market.
Did they do that before or after finding out about Gray’s groin problem?

Details are still coming out but 3 team deal between White Sox, Cardinals and Dodgers.
Fedde to the Cardinals, Edman to the Dodgers, prospects to the White Sox.
Also seeing Kopech to the Dodgers
Alright, quite a few names are off the board now, and consequently quite a few needs filled by would be suitors. Hoping the seller’s market might be starting to wane just a bit, allowing Dana to strike a deal soon.

It’s still a sellers market, so I wouldn’t bet on prices coming down much. You have Flaherty, Taillon, Snell, Kikuchi, Tyler Anderson and potentially Bassitt still out there and only a handful of sellers. And Snell, Taillon and Bassitt are not locks to move.

The full 3-way trade between the Dodgers-Cardinals-White Sox:
Dodgers receive IF Tommy Edman and reliever Michael Kopech.
Cardinals receive: Starter Erick Fedde and outfielder Tommy Pham.
White Sox receive: IF Miguel Vargas and prospects Alexander Abertus and Jaral Perez and potentially a fringe prospect.

So the White Sox send out 4 big leaguers, including one of the top starting options on the market, for 3½ prospects? What the fuck are they doing? The Cardinals make out like bandits here getting Fedde and Pham for just Edman. Really confusing trade.
I keeping trying to think about deals that might involve a piece from our MLB roster. For instance, what would Arrighetti bring in a trade?
