Wild pitch 2 for Framber, runner on 2nd, 2-2 the count. Takes one off the outside corner, 3-2. Didn’t miss by much. Roped up the middle for a single, Schoop scores easily. Popped to right in foul territory, Tucker to the corner wall and makes the catch right at the wall! Made that look easy in foul territory. 1 out.
Vierling takes a fastball right down the middle, 0-1. Vierling is murdering the Astros so far, 5-6 with a walk. Bounced curve that would’ve hit Vierling if he hadn’t leapt out of the way, and Maldy makes a nice stop to keep it from being another WP, 1-1. Picked off Rogers! 1-3-4 and tagged out. He took a step toward second for no reason on a step back pickoff. 2 outs. Vierling chops to Bregman makes a great pick on the short hop and fires to first, 5-3.
Md 5, Tied at 2. Framber at 69 pitches (nice!).
Schoop had a good read and was going on the crack, but the throw was not exactly a laser either.
