Verlander is one pitch away from more surgery. McCullers is also. Brown will not be JV, but he will be solid. I do not view Garcia as untouchable. I wish we had kicked Eovaldi’s tires.
If the Blue Jays pitch worth a damn this coming season, they are going to be a handful.

That what I hope/would do.
Maybe they feel Brown is ready for the rotation, they want to stick to a 5 man rotation, and Diaz is a better bullpen piece than Urquidy or Garcia?
If it happens, adding Diaz in place of Garcia or Urquidy would really be huge in the playoffs.
If the regular top 4-5 starters are healthy.
