I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has no idea what it means to have a plethora.

Not that’s it’s a surprise but Verlander opted out of his contract this morning.
So…
Kiley McDaniel of ESPN has his projections out and initially assumed Brantley also would receive a 1 yr deal but after getting feedback from within the industry he now projects a contract of 2 yrs/$28MM ($14MM AAV). I’m assuming all those he’s talked to have checked the medical database and must be reeeaaaaaally comfortable with how Uncle Mike is progressing from the surgery. I remain a bit on the skeptical side on the contract #s.
Note below that McDaniel also has got a contract projection for Rafael Montero.
