Which one of the steps of a troll is this? He is about to stamp his foot and leave, but he’ll read every day hoping to see his name.

1999 for me. Best thing that ever happened to me.

I wish I could remember when I discovered the site and started posting. Kev and Scott were running it, and Mark was a kid. Mark is 43 now.

Perhaps 1965-67 is before you were born, but what did you ever do? I played. Where did you play? How good were you? I also coached HS baseball for nine years. Did you ever do that?

Nah, you just lived in the basement and perfected being a troll. Congrats.

I discovered it in 1998 (ages 15-16) and fanatically read everything on it.

What have you done to be respected? I don’t remember, anything.

You should know about the latter well.

2002 here - was at MSU coaching as an assistant in Men’s soccer and an acquaintance of mine in class from Texas named Jason (family therapy) recommended it, if my memory is correct. Spent hours upon hours on the site as a right young Clark, learning-reading-getting to know the vets. Great fun but it only lasted for awhile as I graduated to parenthood. Not to go all in the family, but those were the days.

I think Mark was around 8-10, and he was born in 1979. That would make my discovery in the late 80s, but I am not sure of how old he was when I found it.

1986 disavowed me of the notion that good people deserve good things. It was a philosophical seachange

My realization was 1980. If Nolan Ryan had left that ground ball alone in the 8th inning….

Due to my brother screwing around at his desk job in DC, he turned me on to astrosconnection.com in '01 while I’d pretend to do my TPS Reports at my desk in my office, 2nd aviation gig.
I lovvvvvvvved Separated at Birth and the early '00s internet feel of that site.
Took a long hiatus what with flight school, 2 shitty regional airline gigs and the witness protection program. On second thought, I shouldn’t mention that.
It’s been great being back on here the past several years, especially when I was living among those twat-waffle dojers fans in SoCal for 4.5 years and after the Astros kicked their whiny sorry asses and took their lunch money in '17.

Oh yeah, fuck the goddamn steM.

Reletive newcomer compared to you old fuckers. Joined up in April 2015 because I had just left the Rangers last ballpark where I saw George Springer rob a would be walkoff grandslam and then Hank Conger hit a 2 hr homer in the 10th or 11th that was the difference. I was so excited to see an Astros team that looked like they were ready to compete again, and they were, that I found this place on a forum app I use to use. Been here ever since
