Their defense minister, when asked about the light resistance, literally said “all our best forces are in Ukraine”. What an astounding comment. On so many levels. It’s like, the more you think about that comment, the worse and worse it is for the Russians.

I don’t think China is going to attempt a land grab but you bet your ass their ears perked up a bit. Also a lot of those ethnic republics might start stirring a bit. This was just the beginning to their inner problems.

I don’t think 18,000 mercs can do against fortified positions what about 80,000 couldn’t do against unprepared positions. Belarus didn’t just become a possible staging point for an attack on Ukraine, it has already been a staging point for such attacks.

The bridge may be the least of Putin’s problems in Crimea.
There is no evidence linking the group to the latest attack on the Kerch Bridge, early on Monday morning, but the group has claimed a string of smaller-scale attacks, blowing up Russian checkpoints, assassinating Russian officers, setting fire to barracks and feeding sensitive information to Ukrainian intelligence.
Quite certain the Ukrainian military will figure out a way to get them weapons. Also Ukraine says they hit the bridge with those surface drones they’ve been using.

I’m waiting for one of the republics to declare independence. The response to that will be interesting to see.
