Now this is some sci-fi geek tv I can get excited about.
Please be good.

I guess they couldn’t afford the good computers for their CGI?
And what a great show it was. Second only to DS9, which was the pinnacle of sci-fi tv.
I liked the first half of Voyager better than I remembered. Waiting to see if I hate the rest as much as I remembered. My recollection of the second half is that a good portion of the episodes are deus-ex-machina’d with technobabble.
Tachyons. Solve. Everything.
Are Tachyons trekkie Midichorians?
well at least tachyons are real. aren’t they?
So does realigning the deflector array. Usually in conjunction with tachyons. And a level 3 diagnostic.
Yes and no. They are considered theoretically possible, but no evidence of one has ever been observed. Like a Trump tax return.
Didn’t one of the Treks have a guy named “Quark”?
Yep, DS9
Yes.
DS9 Ferengi iirc.
I will soon be undergoing a colonoscopy. You have just given me a new euphemism for it.
Edit.
Perhaps you know Russian epic of Cindarella…if shoe fits, wear it.

Such a great movie.
I started watching Better Than Us on Netflix over the weekend. It’s pretty good. The seamless integration of special effects is very well done and their interpretation of what tech/robotics may look like in 10-or-so years is well researched. It’s kind of like a series version of Ex Machina but on a series budget instead of a movie budget. The show covers many of the same human/tech interactions/issues in that movie. A note though, the storytelling is classic Russian plodding storytelling so you have to go into that knowing how they build a story.
I think your recollection is spot on. Second half of Voyager was awful, awful, awful. But then I had a hard time getting into DS9 too and there are a couple seasons of that show I’ve never watched.
I want to say that it bothered the crap out of me how Pike in SNW (I’ve seen the first episode) included his story about seeing his future yadda yadda yadda in his final speech to the warring factions. Like we couldn’t have figured out from subtext he was talking about himself too? This overwriting, assuming your audience needs every little thing spelled out to them shit drives me crazy.
ETA: Although I still think the last Voyager episode is one of the best ST episodes I’ve ever seen.
DS9 is the best of all Star Treks, followed by a tie between Voyager and Enterprise. The new ones haven’t been on long enough to judge so I don’t count them. TNG is dull and TOS is…well, TOS. TOS movies were good though.
You could disagree with me but you’d be wrong.
Basically every ST fan disagrees with your ranking. I applaud you.
