The sci-fi TV thread

The Orville S3, originally scheduled to premiere in March, has been pushed back to June. But they did drop this scene, which is pretty fucking badass.

Kenobi drops May 25.

Even that part about the StayPuff Marshmallow Man?

Was the current Fett episode (ep.7) the last of the season? Sure felt like it, especially with the nugget buried in the credits.

Yes. What nugget? Am I going to have to go back and watch the credits?

The sheriff of Fteedomtown in the healing tank at Fetts lair with the guy that does the Mods surgeries standing over him. If you look at the shootout at the end ep.6, you see that the sheriff was shot in the far upper right chest. Nothing vital there.

Yes, it is just a 7-episode season

I thought it was a pretty good ending, though diminished by the absence of Jennifer Beals. Did someone call those things head tails? It was kind of a mix of Seven Samurai and High Noon, with a bit of King Kong thrown in for good measure.

The Peacemaker et al are going to need a bigger boat.

The Ring of Power trailer has me nervous. The CGI seems extensive and subpar.

Maybe it’ll surprise us. But so far it looks like the Fire Phone of TV shows.

The Hobbit already showed that Middle Earrh doesn’t automatically mean great or even good.

And now you’re on a prequel that has no story driving it other than “make money”

I see what you guys are doing here. Of course I’ll watch it, and I’ll go into it assuming it will be absolutely awful and it’ll be kinda ok and I’ll have such low expectations that I’ll think it’s brilliant.

Apparently the 7th episode wasn’t the Boba Fett finale.

That wasn’t a Fett accompli?

Sorry, I think I misread a Disney App ad. In other news, Rob Manfred resigned.

Manfred? Man!

Funny man.
